# Register a new domain

> Search for a domain, secure it with WHOIS privacy, and manage renewals.

## Search and register

1. Go to [https://midas.host/domains](https://midas.host/domains) and search for your name.
2. Choose a TLD and add to cart.
3. Enable WHOIS privacy (where available).
4. Complete checkout.

## Post‑purchase

* Manage DNS and nameservers in the Client Area.
* Set auto‑renew to avoid losing your domain.

## Best practices

* Keep registrant email current.
* Enable domain lock to prevent transfers without approval.
